Village of Waldeck
The Village of Waldeck traces its beginnings to 1882, with the post office opening in 1906 and formal village incorporation following on December 23, 1913.
The community’s name comes from the German word “Waldeck,” meaning “wooded corner,” a reference to the willow‑lined banks of the Swift Current Creek that shaped the early landscape.
Today, Waldeck continues to honour its prairie roots while growing as a close‑knit community.
COUNCIL MEETINGS
- Every 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 7:30 pm
- As always everyone is welcome to attend council meetings.
- However if there is something specific you need to discuss with Council notify the Administrator a week in advance to be put on the agenda.

The property owner is responsible for arranging any excavations.
A representative from the Village should be present to determine if the leak is on the Village side of the service.
Any issues from Municipal connection to the property are the owner's responsibility.

Garbage Pick-up is on Wednesdays from 7 am until completed. It is recommended that you have your garbage stored in bins, as the village has a lot of wildlife coming into town now caused by garbage left in bags on the street that is easy to shred and open. Thank you for your help in keeping the village safe and clean.

Please call the office during office hours if you are interested in renting the hall.
The cost per day is $80.00 per day and a deposit of $100.00 is also required.

- Copies of Minutes and Financial Documents All requested copies of meeting minutes and financial documents require a pre‑paid fee of $20. Please submit all requests at least four (4) days in advance.
- Financial documents are available as printed copies only
- Free informational copies of minutes only are posted at:
- Town Board located at the post office, on our website, and on our Facebook Information Only page
- Please allow up to two weeks for minutes to be posted after they are approved.
